Assembling the rope
The rope assembly time is about 30 seconds. Equally for dismantling.
In order to be able to assemble in these seconds, a previus setting time of about 30 minutes is needed, in which the carabiners will be set up to the correct tension of the ropes.
To assemble the rope, the first necessity is 2 anchor points that must support a traction of at least 250kg.
Normally those items are excellent for the purpose:
- poles, and road signs
- trees
- bolted benches
- columns
- vehicles
- weights (of cement, filled with wather …)
- wall’s Fischer and bolting
- grates
- railings
- fences
- …
To find hooks it is usually easier than you think. It is recommended to send the artist some photos of the show area, for “virtual inspection”.
Rope Structure
We usually ask organizers to provide ladders if that is possible, for to use them as structure for the rope. When that is not possible we always find solutions for it.
It is not necessary for ladders to be twins: they can be different on shape and they can be of different height until one metre from one another.
This little clickable gallery shows some type of ladders that can serve the purpose:
Scenic Area
The audience can be positioned at 360 °.
The distance from the walking part of the rope and the public must be at least 4 meters.
Flooring
There is not special requirements for the floor surface.
It is not necessary to have an even flat floor, and it can also be used a slope floor.
It is possible to play on asphalt, sand, grass, wood stage, concrete, marble, stone pavement, linoleum…
Juggling
Light and Audio
Lighting
In case the show is in a poorly lit place, it is necessary to install spotlights. Here is the recommended assembly to avoid performance problems:
The height of the lights is indifferent; the important thing is that the rope’s support poles are not between the artist and the headlights.
Audio
The artist has her own headset radio microphone. The microphone’s receiver has a jack cable output.
Music can be played by MP3 player, USB flash drive or Bluetoot device.
It is also possible to send it to the technician via e-mail or Whatsapp.
Depending on the agreements made, the artist can arrive with her own sound box or rely on those supplied by the event.
